I am very disapointed at the fact that an assembly was organised for year 9 over the last 15 minutes of the England verses Nigeria match. I hope that the same will not happen this Friday especially as it is an even more important match than the one I have just mentioned. I believe that it is very important to not restrict pupils from supporting England as being patriotic should be encouraged.

I believe the ability to make contactwith other old boys through the internet is the best way to make acquaintance with those you remember but don't know how to contact is surely the right way forward. If we can keep the momentum going I am sure we can obtain an improved membership. There appears to be a huge pool of talent spread all over the world which can be mined to help the school with fundraising activities or assist the academic development of the students both past and present as an old boys network should. Finally my congratulations to Simon and the others who seem to work tirelessly to make the OBA a success.

Quite saddened in a way as to how few of my contemporaries have signed up, or even felt the urge to visit the site. I suppose, in the 1960's the times really were a changing and BGS wasn't. The Beatles and Vietnam coming out of the TV every night, and every day you went to this 1920's theme park, BGS.

As a teacher at the "Vechtdal College" in Ommen (east of the Netherlands) I am looking for names and addresses of teachers and pupils who might be able to help me with a project we are doing at our school. It is a project about the Hanseatic city of Ommen. In my class the pupils have to write with English teenagers to find out about their habits and interests as citizens of a 'Hanseatic' town. As far as I know Boston is such a town. I am not sure who will read my request, but I hope you will inform me whether you can help me or not. The pupils in my class are 14 and 15 years of age.

I was searching for computer shops in the Boston area on the internet, and for whatever reason I ended up here. So being Boston born amd bred I thought I would take a look around. Much to my surprise I found my Nephew Victor Edward Bannister, so named because he was born on VE Day. He worked as Chief Clerk at Boston Magistrates Court up untill March 2002.

Pleased to see Rod Dunne is still alive, I still say, even now, how you was eventually treated by the "hierarchy" on your dismissal was nothing short of criminal. BGS was a better place for you being there, and it wouldn't go far wrong if you was still there now. Good Luck Mate

I spent most of my woking career teaching African and Asian History at University level (I'm sure that would surprise my classmates) and retired recently.

As a current student at Boston Grammar i am pleased to think that somebody other than myself believes that BGS should be a place where people can relate to each other. P.S It would be a great help to all of us if you great people at the OBA could try to make it a mixed school as horemones seem to be the only things that we cant control also im a sad lonely boy who needs to meet a girl "sob". I hope you found that last bit funny! Any job applications at a newspaper would be nice in a couple of years time hint hint.

Dear Sirs: Please contact me by email at this address tjslaw@shaw.ca (in Canada) if your OBA is interested to receive some original materials for your records concerning one of your distinguished OBs from the late 1890s, Walter Joseph Tombleton Small. I should explain right away that I personally knew Rev. Small quite well about 30 years ago (1973-74) when I was a VSO (UK) English teacher at Richmond College, Galle, southern Sri Lanka. Rev. Small had been Principal there from 1906-22, before moving to Madras and then back to England with his German wife, Thekla, whom he married in Ceylon (as it then still was) in 1910. In those days Richmond College was a Methodist Mission School; since the early 1960s it has been a government-run, Buddhist school. In the mid-1960s, Rev. Small - by then a widower - ret

Hello, this is just an email to show the traversty of what has happened at BGS. Some of you may know of him, others may not. However, Mr Anderson has been sacked! The best thing to ever happen to BGS has been axed from his role, he was not only a great teacher but a great friend too. The school will crumble without that man, and I'm writing a stern letter to the board of governers about my disgust. If you remember Anderson please email me with accounts as i will forward to the governers!! From Jake
