Richard Root (BGS staff 1928-1942)

Peter Woolcock (BGS 1936-1941) remembers Richard root who taught mathematics taking a lesson out at about Christmas time to read a thriller to the class. He would hide the book in his case to avoid being noticed by the headmaster ("Dot" Morris).

Peter believes that Richard Root may have been "Bill" Bastick's brother-in-law.
