"Stanley Cawthorne, formerly Head of English at BGS, [who taught at the school from 1949 to 1984] has died peacefully at home on 24th July 2007. His funeral will take place on Friday 3rd August 2007 at 2.00pm at the Boston Crematorium, Robin Hoods Walk, Boston. Donations will be welcomed for the Marie Curie nurses. The funeral will be an informal service in a style we
hope our father would not disapprove of too much! Anyone wishing to say anything about our father as a teacher, colleague, or friend is welcome to do so either during the funeral or by email..."

I have Cherry's email address, but rather than give it out, if you have any stories please send them to me and I will pass them on. Cherry tells me that Gordon Lammie (ex-BGS) will be speaking at the funeral and reading some of the stories.

In case you are wondering, Cherry is aware of her father's quirky teaching style, calling him "irreverent", so I think she probably expects to receive some stories that might be considered also to be in that vein.
