John Stafford Nguyen Van Tam (BGS 75-82) was awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List in recognition of the exceelent work he did in designing a first aid kit to meet the special requirements of large groups of teenagers on camping expeditions. It came out of his work with the Lincolnshire Army Cadets since 1988. His ideas were accepted by the Ministry of Defence. (From The Old Bostonian, February 1998 edition)
